- 2. We measure on site
We laser-measure and template the real opening, stair or wall — Brooklyn buildings are never square.
- 3. Drawing & fixed quote
You approve a simple drawing, material and finish before any steel is cut. No surprises.
- 4. Built in our shop
Cut, fit and welded in our Dyker Heights shop by the same crew that installs it.
- 5. Finished to last
Primer and industrial paint, powder coat or hot-dip galvanizing — chosen for NYC weather.
- 6. Install & walkthrough
Clean, fast install. We check every weld, latch and anchor with you before we leave.

Mezzanines & Steel Platforms FAQ
Does a mezzanine need a permit?
Generally yes in NYC — it adds floor area and needs an engineer's design. We build to the approved drawings.
Can you build a loft bed in an apartment?
Yes — steel sleeping lofts are a great use of high ceilings. Smaller residential lofts are simpler but should still be designed for safe loads.
What decking do you use?
Bar grating, diamond plate, or steel deck with plywood/concrete — depending on load and use.
Do you offer free estimates?
Send us photos and rough measurements by text or email and we'll usually give you a price range quickly. For custom work we'll visit to measure.
What areas do you serve?
All of Brooklyn, plus Staten Island, Queens and Manhattan. South Brooklyn neighborhoods are closest to our shop.
