Most rusted railings and gates aren't finished — they're just neglected. When rust is caught early, restoration costs a fraction of replacement.
We remove loose rust and failed paint, cut out and replace rotted sections, then apply rust-inhibiting primer and a durable topcoat. For pieces that can come off, we can arrange sandblasting, powder coating or hot-dip galvanizing.

Rust Repair, Sandblasting & Painting FAQ
How often should I repaint my iron railing?
Outdoor painted iron in NYC usually needs touch-up every few years and a full repaint every 5–8 years, depending on exposure.
Is powder coating better than paint?
Powder coat is tougher and more even, but the piece has to be removed and baked in a shop. Paint can be applied on site.
Can you paint my fire escape?
Yes, with proper prep and coatings suitable for inspection.

Send us photos and rough measurements by text or email and we'll usually give you a price range quickly. For custom work we'll visit to measure.
